The gang thriller, directed by Celia Fox in its first-time feature, is about a wide group of interconnected Los Angelenos who struggle to survive as a war between a Latino and black gang ravages the city. Valderrama portrays Daniel, a criminal who releases the gang war after stealing a rapper's car and accidentally killing the mother of his own Latino gang's kingpin (Garcia).Fishburne performs as a teacher, mentor and voice of reason to the antagonisticgang members. Lupe Ontiveros plays the kingpin's grandmother. Amber Valletta plays an anchorwoman and rapper Kurupt a cameraman sent into the crossfire.Filming began Wednesday
